Proclamation
Designating June 16, 1990, as
"PRIDE '90 FESTIVAL AND MARCH DAY"
The Cleveland Lesbian/Gay Pride Committee will sponsor its Pride '90 Festival and March on Saturday, June 16, 1990, in front of the Lesbian/Gay Community Service Center, on West 14th Street.
This year's featured performers will be Romanovsky and Phillips, a fantastic male singing duo from California. Joining them will be the popular Robin Flower and Libby McClaren. Robin and Libby are veteran performers of many women's music festivals. Monica Grant, an up-and-coming singer/comedienne, will also perform.
The Committee's first March for Civil Rights in Cleveland will take place before the Festival on Euclid Avenue. At the Festival, individual sponsors and friends will have booths where they will provide information about their respective products, services, or groups. The Festival will also offer an opportunity for members of the lesbian and gay community to meet with other groups from throughout the Greater Cleveland area.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Michael R. White, Mayor of the City of Cleveland, do hereby proclaim June 16, 1990, as "PRIDE '90 FESTIVAL AND MARCH DAY" in Cleveland. I invite all citizens to join with the Cleveland Lesbian/Gay Pride Committee at its Pride '90 Festival and March. Best wishes for an enjoyable, memorable and highly successful event!
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have set my hand and caused the Corporate Seal of the City of Cleveland to be affixed on this 16th day of June in the year 1990.
